  "What if the real innovation is not centralization vs decentralization, but the ability to shift between them?" That question has been rattling around in my brain lately, and I keep coming back to it. Not because I have a clever answer—goodness knows I'm not an identity architect, nor can I play one on TV—but because it changes the shape of the conversation I'm used to hearing.
