- I'd prefer to see an approach centred on incentives to guide resource use, for instance increasing taxation of companies/products that drive unsustainable resource use or conversely stimulate investment in recycling. Growth in digital services offsets physical resource use. Renewable energy's key.
- Incentives are good for specific industries Overall, however, public needs to understand cost of their demands in government services providing them confidence their taxes are representative of cost their demands Today this isn’t the case allowing tax discussions devoid of affordability concerns
- Incentives and disincentives both. Industries have different elasticity of supply and demand wrt. price level. I'm not sure the role of taxation is approached from a wide enough view point. Structure of the economy shifting toward sustainability but also private enterprise too is potential reprieve.
- Until every person earning income pays some proportionate tax we’ll continue to see higher deficits since politicians fear raising taxes to meet public’s demand for government services Likewise they’ll blame corporations for higher prices even as they exists in competitive economy
- Reprieve as mentioned toward private enterprise may reduce dependency on government services while taxation and welfare policy is supportive of broadening demand and in hand with it too increased equity market investment to fund companies growth. #FixedTypo
- In summary resources either for-profit/public all need to be available provide public services required/demanded by public Suggest reviewing my Substack post presenting brief discussion on whether #economy has available current #resources for a livable #income open.substack.com/pub/thewhyex... Tx

- In summary addressing sustainability in the current economic paradigm is cumbersome as society looks to displace costs. An approach addressing parallel issue of distribution of wellbeing as foundational to motivation is to be preferred. Suggest: haleksandar.wordpress.com/2025/05/05/d... Tx
