- @chrisjrn.fyi and I now have the joy of twice weekly dates in which we bike to the allergy clinic for immunotherapy to get jabbed and hang out in a waiting room. Today was our first. So romantic 🥰😂
- OK, I need someone to start offering miniature handheld disability pride flags stat. Specifically looking for the ~5.5"x8" form factor we see en masse at pride events. Alternatively, has anybody ever personally had such a thing manufactured themselves?
- Today is #MEAwarenessDay. Pay attention to #MissingMillions. Learn why it's called that. Maybe you haven't heard of it, but it's ever more relevant. We should all be paying attention, taking precautions, pushing for research and accessibility, and helping the afflicted. #MCAS #MECFS #LongCovid
- Settling in to watch Bay FC v Kansas City Current, and I can't help but notice the #NWSL self-produced ad for the league features a cut of a MASSIVE antifascism flag waving in a supporter's section. We love to see it 👏🏻
- This is a truly remarkable statement.
- Woohoo! I get to start immunotherapy next week. (Did you know estrogen can up-regulate histamine release? I didn't! Between immunotherapy and electrolysis, that's like 4 office visits a week for the better part of a year 😅)
- This fascist Administration has ruined neck gaiters for the rest of us and I'll never forgive them for it 😤
- Ahhhh, nothing like capping the week with successful convening of open governance. We just had our second full meeting of the @matrix.org Governing Board, with Committee and Working Group report outs and more.
- A lovely bit of whimsy 😻
- Oh my goodness the changes at the 101 pedestrian over crossing near E Washington are a huge improvement. No more delicately threading the needle with a bike on a tiny sidewalk 👏🏻 #Petaluma
- A very happy garden 🥰
- Every time I go out, I find more support for @petalumapride.org despite the slander and attacks from the org's founder and former board president. Surprising no one, online comments sections aren't representative. Clearly, I need to get out more.
- The horror when I realized the mosquitoes I see most are black-and-white striped ones, like the invasive ones known for carrying Dengue 😱 www.latimes.com/environment/... They benefit from the fact that the faculty at the nearby school are overworked and can't reliably address stagnant water...
- Still gutted about our local newspapers being sold to notorious private equity firm Alden Capital. I'm thinking about all the people who work there and about what this means for local news.
- Boom. Scored tickets to the first* ever professional women's sports match to be held at Oracle Park – Bay FC vs Washington Spirit #NWSL 🎉 * JFC do better MLB and venue owners.
- It's so gratifying as a volunteer leader of volunteers when things go according to plan. Today I showed up to set up Petaluma Library Advisory Board booth at Future Fest, left to celebrate my Dad's birthday, and returned for strike. All volunteers showed up when they needed to and had it covered!
- Way to go, Australia 👏🏻 Not just a win for the center-left, but another rightwing party leader losing their own seat like in Canada.
- Yesssss thank you Sonoma County Pride! A rally for trans rights in Santa Rosa at Courthouse Square on Friday, May 30th from 4pm to 6pm.
- OK, Australia. Your turn. Thank you and good luck!
- A delightful first for me: stumbled into someone local, in-person, who I had only previously met on Bluesky 🦋
- @j-raspberry.bsky.social nice to meet you in person at this evening's bike ride!
- Gosh, there's something about voluntarily getting stabbed in the face dozens of times that helps put things back into perspective 😅
