View full threadCheck the State Department and DOD websites and you’ll find both names in common use. I go with “Arabian Gulf” out of solidarity with our Gulf Cooperation Council allies in the region. If you prefer the name “Persian Gulf” feel free to use it when YOU are interviewed on TV.
