- An update on my reporting from March: RAINN has taken a step further and banned resources for trans people and immigrants. Many had defended RAINN, saying they would still serve trans people. Clearly that was wrong. NYTimes did the recent reporting, but did not cite me.
- 1. Three sexual abuse nonprofits have removed all or nearly all references to trans, queer and non binary people (h/t @devtesla.bsky.social) I wrote a second article today to document and archive some of the impacted pages. www.madycast.com/p/capitulati...
- this stuff happens like 4000 times a day to trans people, but it only becomes a viral story and gains attention when it happens to someone cis. Just the other day, a trans woman had her tires slashed by a man, clearly in a motivated violent attack against her. But no one is talking about it.
- crazy how the party supposedly protecting democracy can't even stop themselves from overturning their own legitimate internal elections if they don't like the outcome
- BREAKING: The House GOP's early committee markup of their reconciliation bill includes a ban on federal Medicaid dollars from going to "specified gender transition procedures" for trans kids. This could change, but it is terrifying. Reposted to improve framing. docs.house.gov/meetings/IF/...
