I want to establish the Sowbug National Wildlife Refuge right here in Portland, Oregon. Anyone willing to donate six square feet of prime habitat? (To protect the wildlife, there will be no trails through the refuge.)
Thanks to trying to figure out what a sow bug is (a roly poly) I now know that in Australia they are sometimes called butchy boys and that's the best thing I've learned in at least a week.
Apparently they're more related to crabs than insects, which makes sense given horshoe crabs, isopods, and whatnot.
