- And there’s a lot more. 16) we have a warm compassionate population 17) Winterhaven 18) lots of good restaurants 19) lots of great Mexican restaurants 20) street fairs 21) farmers markets 22) an Air Force Base 23) a great community college 24) an excellent library system 25) proximity to old Mexico
- Mary Duncan and Charles Farrell in City Girl (1930). Unlike a lot of silent film actors, these two both lived into the 1990s. Farrell died at age 89 in 1990, and Duncan died at the age of 98 in 1993.

- My eyeglass tech friend told me today his fairly poor friend got a smoking deal on a used Tesla, in excellent condition, $1200. That’s one thousand, two hundred dollars. It seems Teslas are getting very hard to sell.
- I know enough to be dangerous but I am pretty sure some things are being planned to celebrate Tucson's birthday.
- I hope so. And I hope it’s not like our 249th at the reconstructed Northwest corner of the old Presidio which was charming (they’re always charming) but was not Grand in the manner of something that’s lasted 250 years.

- I liked the old City Hall. They should have preserved it. The council could have met there and it would have been a wonderful museum for the city to use for historic documents and artifacts.
- I mean Tucson is 250 years old this year and this is a great opportunity to bring people together so they can all feel like they are Tucsonans. So where is the celebration? Where are the leading citizens promoting the advantages of our city? This birthday should have been a year long operation.
