- Along with this year's growth, the U.S. Census Bureau also updated its estimate for the period from July 1, 2022 to 2023, saying Seattle gained 12,728 residents over that stretch, nearly double the initial figure. That brings the total population gain over the past two years to just shy of 30,000.
- A Canadian resident who visited the Seattle area between April 30 and May 3 has tested positive for measles, and visited more than a dozen locations while infectious, including Uwajimaya in the Chinatown-International District and Stoup Brewing on Capitol Hill on May 2, and Sea-Tac Airport on May 3.
