- Obviously this is wrong and lots of people throwing out examples. But Canada is not one of them!!! CANDU reactors use natural (i.e. unenriched) uranium. Yes, India did extract plutonium from CANDU spent fuel. But that’s different process (reprocessing of spent fuel vs enrichment of Uranium)

- There will be some high profile moves and maybe a few others. But universities globally are facing a bunch of pressures that mean they can’t just go on hiring sprees. Plus, the US science infrastructure is outsized. It’s not like there is a capacity to absorb all that.

- Reposted by Hisham ZerriffiI just got word that this federal transportation grant was terminated today, despite us removing the word "climate" from the title. The moral of the story? Obeying orders doesn't keep you safe with this administration.
- I was just told that I have to remove “climate” from the title of an ongoing grant if I want to keep it. And publications from that grant cannot include “climate” and other forbidden words. I can’t believe I’m writing this from the United States of America. #AcademicSky

- There are definitely those early books that I read and re-read and re-read that are now burned into my brain. But still loved it. It was a cherished part of the nightly routine and one we continued well past when they needed any help reading.
- This is a great graphic. I use a graph similar to this that relates private vehicle miles travelled to population density in my energy class but might have to pair it with this one to break down the different modes.
- This is interesting — a recent study of mode share (the % share of transportation trips by car, transit, walking, biking etc) relative to city size and income levels in almost 800 cities in 61 countries. Interesting results. HT @davidzipper.bsky.social www.sciencedirect.com/science/arti...
