@mdruker.app's experimental feed server
Settings for the Catch Up On Follows Feed at feeds.mdruker.app
- Reposts in the feed are back! Login at feeds.mdruker.app to set a percentage of your feed that you want to be the top reposts by accounts you follow
- Everything* should be working again! Thanks for your patience. *Reposts are disabled for now but none of y’all have that setting turned on anyway
- The server is back up, but very behind on The Posts. Hopefully it'll catch up overnight. I'll need to do some more maintenance on the server so there might be some more interruptions. Feel free to ping/DM @mdruker.app if you notice that it's down and you're missing it!
- I’m aware that the feed server is down and will try to fix it today
- The feed server is unhappy right now. I'm looking into it.
- Hot off the feed presses: the top reposts in your Catch Up On Follows feed! If you want 'em, log in via bluesky at feeds.mdruker.app and set up a repost percent:
- Just added a new feed that's like your Following feed but only the posts with links
- The server is currently not healthy due to a bad deploy. Sorry! I will try to get it back up as soon as I can.
- You can now visit feeds.mdruker.app to update some settings for the Catch Up On Follows feed
- Thanks everyone for your interest! I'm still working on making the feed work well. Some things on my radar: -the first load is slow if you have a lot of follows -and... it might generally be slow if you have a _lot_ of follows -looking into some issues with updates to follows -adding replies, maybe
- The feed should be a bit faster for those with longer following lists now
- The good news is the feed seems to be handling new users fine. The bad news is my engagement metrics are wrong, so I may not be serving actually the most engaged posts. (Will try to fix it soon)
- I bumped up the max following count to 30K, and fixed it so hopefully folks with a longer following list folks won't crash the feed 😅
- The feed is now operating and the data seems to be consistent on the back end. Next up: some work on the actual content of the feed
- The feed is down unfortunately while I try to learn enough to get it working again.
- Updated the subscriber to use Jetstream and hopefully be more robust. Now it’s catching up
- The feed is currently behind but should catch up over the day. I will be working on making it more resilient over the next few days
- If you're seeing this in your feed, welcome! This feed will now try to start indexing posts for you. It should start to populate meaningfully over the next day. It's also experimental and comes with no guarantees at all.
