- Breaking: Jayson Tatum tore his right Achilles tendon and underwent successful surgery on Tuesday to repair it, the Celtics announced. No timetable is currently available for his return, but he is expected to make a full recovery.
- MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred removed Pete Rose, "Shoeless" Joe Jackson & other deceased players from MLB's ineligible list. Manfred ruled that MLB’s punishment of banned individuals ends upon their deaths. They are now presumably eligible for election into the Baseball Hall of Fame.
