the problem with custom feeds is that they are hosted by third parties, so, don’t have the same quality of service guarantees as bluesky itself. they’re similar to browser extensions in a sense. bluesky can’t (shouldn’t) rely on them for common scenarios.

There's a serious need for a 3rd party tool for Ozone/Bluesky labelers.
Currently, managing labelers is dependent on you having a coding background and that can be a limiting factor for a lot of people.
But a 3rd party labeler/ozone support system could supercharge community mod on Bluesky.
Bluesky needs to fix this.. just joined and have had several bot dating accounts follow me, getting tired of hitting the block button
There must be better ways to ensure humans are on the end of accounts

I think an increasing number of journalists are realising that they get more genuine interaction on Bluesky (including more clicks to their articles). Post something on X and watch the bots spring into action.
imma update my bio as i checked my follows recently and some 18+ accounts have followed a 17 year old aka me lol (my bad for not putting it on my bluesky bio lol)
For me another small issue with Bluesky is that lack of algorithmic 'following' page. If I wasn't online when you shared those 45 posts, I'm just going to miss them all, and never know if they spawned a lively discussion. I'm not giving up on bluesky or anything, but it is a reason I like algorithms
