- So, thanks to *waves arms wildly*, I decided to write a paper on the history of tariffs between Canada and the U.S. for my agricultural markets class. I found some quotes that seem offly prescient, and I can't help but share them now. First up, this beauty from Paton (1921) in the QJE.
