pertonmoths
Mostly moths, but then there'll be leafmines and bees and craneflies and..... well, easily distracted by wildlife.
- Couple of day time moths this afternoon. Treble bar and Psychoides filicivora, Fern Smudge. Had the TIP lure out, hoping for White-barred Clearwing, no luck today but did get the Psychoides. 🙂
- Been finding the feeding signs on Hawthorn for a few days, tracked down the case this morning. Possibly Coleophora potentillae? #teammoth

- Thanks, Rob. I'll keep looking and see what I find! To be honest I can't stop looking. Every tree, bush, plant I'm scanning for signs. 😁

- Thanks, George, be a new one for me if it is, I've only really started looking for Coleophora in the last year and have only just started to recognise the signs. It was a tip from Rob Edmunds. Look for the pale windows, prior to that, i was just randomly looking under leaves 😁

- Brilliant, must have been amazing to watch. Both those are on my love to see list 😊
- Caloptilia coming up as robustella but it's a gen det job to be sure it's not alchemilla it seems. So either or it stays 🙂
