- A clip I made from Terence McKenna's talk on the origins of personal computers and pre-internet access to all the information of the world and other people. Interestingly, I generally feel less connected to information and users on the internet now than Terence was describing he had in 1984!
- If you live near Olympia, WA and want to go to a Ren Faire themed rave this Friday, I'm playing at The Mortuary! DM for address
- What is the most immersive dj setup for vrchat currently? Might be just wearing a headset like a hat? Or maybe an overlay app to dj software? Ideally a vrc dj controller asset could be a midi controller to dj software running on that pc. Therefore the entire interface is in-world.
- Painted up @oopspossum.bsky.social's little cicada warrior that @sleepybeetle.bsky.social sent her. Used some glitter modge podge gloss for the shell and wings (hard to see the effect in a photo)
- I've been really enjoying this lecture series on Agrippa, and the Esoterica channel is one of my favorites. Recommended for fans of deep dives into niche topics! youtube.com/playlist?lis...
- I try very hard not to be a militant vegan or judge people for consuming meat. However, if we're about to have another pandemic because bird flu took root in our factory farms because people MUST HAVE MEAT, I'm gonna be pissed.
- Want to see a ghost? With these goggles you can (try)! They're marketed under various names like Aura Goggles and Dicyanin Glasses. Basically they are heavily pigmented goggles that let through only near ultraviolet light. The inventor claims they allowed him to see ghosts and people's auras. #ghost
- Library tour! Do magicians exaggerate or hallucinate when they see a spirit? In Magister Officiorum, Julio Cesar Ody clearly claims he is not exaggerating. Goetia, if performed to the letter, will make a spirit manifest visibly. I’ve also listened to Julio’s interviews, and he seems quite sane.
- Library tour! If you have even a passing interest in Runes, you owe it to yourself to get a copy of The Rune Primer by Sweyn Plowright. There is sooo much misinformation published about runes, and this book starts with the goal of identifying what is historically known.
- Library tour! An Excellent Booke of the Arte of Magicke from 1567CE. This Scarlett Imprint edition has wonderful accompanying essays that give historical context. They assume a familiarity with other famous grimoires though, so not a great first grimoire to read.
