- Visiting Artist In Residence Lukaza Branfman-Verissimo was named a Wynn Newhouse Award winner for 2024. The award is a one-time grant to exceptional fine artists with disabilities, acknowledging their merit and giving them funding with no strings attached.
- Written arts major Samantha Barrett ’26 has won the 2025 PEN/Robert J. Dau Short Story Prize for Emerging Writers for her story “Invert.” Each winner receives a cash prize and is published by Catapult in their annual anthology, Best Debut Short Stories: The PEN America Dau Prize.
- The Mastermind, a new film by S. William Senfeld Artist in Residence Kelly Reichardt, will premiere at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival this month. Following an art thief in 1970s Massachusetts who plans his first heist, it stars Josh O’Connor and Alana Haim as well as alumna Gaby Hoffmann ’04.
- Four students of the Bard College chapter of the United Nations Association attended the 2025 UN Economic and Social Council Youth Forum in New York City. Jamora Aroyo-Jefferson ’28, Peter B. Szasz ’28, Felipe Chitic Luis ’28, and Wilson Hundley ’28 joined advocates from countries across the globe.
