- I'm surprised so many people, including Celtics fans, thought the Celtics were cooked w/o Tatum. It'd be better to have him. But the key to the Celtics for the past few years is how good they are 1-10. Tatum is sometimes a superstar, but sometimes isn't, including in *both* Finals that he played.
- Kuminga reminds me of players in the 1970s and 1980s who were aggressive, successful scorers, but really didn't pass, defend, or rebound. Hawkins, Haywood, Wicks, McAdoo, Barnes, et al. This isn't meant as an insult to Kuminga bc the bball of the 70s and 80s was fun and exciting!
- I'm a huge Bird fan. But the truth is he had only 2 above-average-efficiency shooting playoff runs, 1984 & 86 (also 1992 but that was only 107 MP in 4 games). The other 9 playoffs, he was below-league average in FG%. For TS%, Bird was league average or below in 9 of 12 playoff runs.
- For no particular reason, I'd like to remind everyone that I had Haliburton (slightly) over Mitchell for 1st All NBA. 🤣
- Nothing symbolizes the fall of American civilization more than the widespread passionate belief that the NBA draft lottery is rigged. 🤣
- Really, really hate to say this, but Tatum's injury looked very similar to Lillard's torn Achilles. I hope not.
- Did the 49ers have the talent to win the Super Bowl every* year, 1981-1998 (18 years)?! YES! They were the best or one of the best teams every season. *Except for 1982. By the way, Montana was 49ers QB, 1981-90; Young 1991-98. Thread ...
- Sorry, but Cory Alexander is the dumbest analyst in the NBA. He just said (raw) +/- is the most important stat, so SGA should be MVP. In fact, your on-court teammates heavily influence +/- ! He has also said that the timing on a foul is when the ref calls it, not when the foul occurred! Smh!
- Reading about Riley, he seemed like an unassuming guy until the late 1980s, but has been an egotistical jerk in the years since then.
- I guess there are limits to Curry's "gravity." 🤣
