The Ukrainian offer for a ceasefire starting Monday while having the representatives of major powers sitting in Kyiv is a masterclass of political maneuvering. It leaves the ball squarely in the Russian court and no matter what Moscow decides, it will bring Russia in a less favorable position.
May 10, 2025 12:47I wonder what pressure this puts on Xi, Lula and the others who went to the parade, for them to put pressure on Putin. I think this is just as important as having Trump aboard. Putin might find his obstinacy comes at a steeper cost than he realized.
Not sure they can be less favourable. If you mean less favourable to the Russian loving Trump administration, not sure that will happen.
Trump and his cronies only believe in what is good for their bank balance, nothing else matters.
