- Working on a little coil-built bucket form with a...what does a potter call this edge? Deckle edge in paper, live edge in wood. Hmm. #art #sculpture #pottery #ceramics #architecture #design #contemporaryceramics #ceramicart #minimalism

- Tortured artist=tortured edge. Yep, that tracks. 😄
- The finished product! Well, before firing anyway. #art #sculpture #pottery #ceramics #architecture #design #contemporaryceramics #ceramicart #minimalism
- The clay I use for all my square stuff is a sculpture clay, full of sand and grog. I had a feeling it wasn't plastic enough to make coil pots with, but gave it a try. It made me work up a sweat! #art #sculpture #pottery #ceramics #architecture #design #contemporaryceramics #ceramicart #minimalism
- Well, the garden had its spring peak. Some things are just about bloomed out; some are just firing up. Daylilies, hydrangea, garden phlox, Asiatic lilies, yarrow, campanula and daisies will come in as summer gets here. Zinnia seeds are sprouting; they'll take us all the way to fall.
- Your garden is stunning. I love seeing it.
- Thank you! Have really been enjoying it this spring.
- I kinda wish I had a reading chair shaped like this in real life. Handbuilt stoneware with porcelain slip wash. #art #sculpture #pottery #ceramics #architecture #design #contemporaryceramics #ceramicart #minimalism #furnituredesign
- What does the porcelain slip wash accomplish? Do you fire at a higher temp? I like this one.
- Thanks! Just aesthetics. I like my buff clay, but the wash makes the surface a lot more interesting. These are Cone 5.

- When you figure it out, let me know and I'll lean into it!
- Beautiful!
