- It’s crazy to me how I just want to listen to The Blue Nile “Hats” over and over and over again, multiple times throughout a day. I never get tired of it. Something about it I just can’t put my finger on that makes it so compulsively relistenable. Just a perfect dish of sophisticated pop. Chefs kiss

- Wow, the back half of the new Mark Pritchard / Thom Yorke record is WAY weirder and more interesting. I wasn’t loving the singles, now I know that isn’t the draw of this record. The draw is both of them bravely venturing into unmapped territory as collaborators.

- So, I'm not seeing any evidence that "scraping music for genAI" is what SoundCloud has in mind in their new TOS. It sounds like conventional machine learning recco algo stuff a la Spotify. But the backlash to their vague language is a massive own goal, & their refusal to disambiguate is a red flag.
