Exited to announce that @flashes.blue received funding from @skyseed.fund!!!
Funds will be used to get the #android release on the road as well as initiating setup of commons #atproto infra in the EU. Plus, we started designing a mobile PDS.
Today’s demo day for the AI app layer camp @betaworks.com ! We’ve had such a fun and inspiring few weeks here. Grateful for the experience and excited for what’s ahead!
We've been given an amazing opportunity with our round of funding to build out the next generation of the social web. Today, we're starting an experiment in paying that forward. Introducing Graze Grants, a project to help get other ATProto projects off the ground.
Wild metric just popped up - @graze.social has now served feeds to **3 million people**! No way we would have believed if if someone told us in November that we'd be here at this number by May. Very grateful to you all trying out this new future of building the social web 🦋
Happy to meet you too! Discord is indeed the best place to collab on feeds for us. While we don't work with Bluesky in some direct or official capacity, we are very close with them and work well with them! And I just read your article and yes, what you're laying out is directly in line with us!
@graze.social is kind of what like you're describing
drag & drop node logic (w/ custom nodes, monetization, ai feed generator to help with node configuration, etc)
In this first round, we're giving away five $1,000 grants to defray startup costs and let people try out weird things that would get blocked otherwise. We'll be accepting projects on a rolling basis and hope to close the round by June 30th! While we'll love every idea, we're interested in a few:
First, we want to help accelerate growth in the ATProto / Bluesky ecosystem. Projects that help *others* are vital. Second, we want to empower communities to sustain themselves. Third, we want to help give people & orgs direct access to their audiences. Broadly, those are *our* goals as an org.
When we started Graze, @devingaffney.com was funding the machines and burning down his savings - and we almost closed shop because of it. In our first experiment, we want to ease those first trepidatious steps on a new project so you can focus on the idea without worrying about the first bills.
