- While Divvy spans the largest service area of any bikeshare system in the US, demand absolutely skyrockets in a small portion of downtown during weekday evenings. CDOT & Lyft are working to drop as many devices as possible at key locations to meet the concentrated surge in demand.
- The Edgebrook Metra station just got a brand new Divvy station! The Chicago Department of Transportation has been working to site Divvy stations at every transit station in Chicago. Space constraints meant we needed to position the docks back to back which I love!
- The Illinois High-Speed Railway Commission is studying a potential 220 mph electrified rail line between Chicago & St Louis. They’re asking for public input—take the survey by May 11th. Share far & wide! s.surveyplanet.com/gd7r2pdc?emc...
- You might have noticed new Divvy "corrals" in the Loop. These are extensions of existing stations that act as virtual docks. A big Divvy priority is making sure more devices are available downtown during the week. This helps create a uniform space to stage a LOT more devices.

- CDOT’s Bike Chicago team is distributing ~140 free bikes to residents today! Each bike comes with a helmet, lights, tools, lock & other useful accessories. Today is our 1st distribution event this year. It’s a great day to get Chicagoans cycling!
- Day 1 of CDOT's Wrigley Scooter Parking Pilot was an overall success! The 1st Cubs home game of the season saw clearer sidewalks & more uniform parking of Divvy & Lime devices. Plus, crosswalks were safer for pedestrians due to the scooter/bike parking corrals serving as defacto curb bump outs! 🚲🛴🏟️
- CDOT opened another one of 100 planned electrified bikeshare stations in Chicago yesterday. Electrifying just a fraction of Divvy stations will eliminate dramatic amounts of battery swapping, VMT & CO₂ emissions each year! chi.streetsblog.org/2025/04/03/a...

- The Chicago Department of Transportation is launching a series of bike/scooter parking corrals in Wrigleyville to address event day clutter & sidewalk blockages. Added bonus is that the bike racks will be permanent & are mostly in daylight zones + serving as defacto curb bump outs! 1/4
- CDOT is rolling out new bike/scooter parking hubs across Wrigleyville today! These 7 hubs will help reduce clutter & keep sidewalks clear during event at Wrigley Field. If you're using Divvy or Lime to get to the first Cubs home game tomorrow, you'll get in-app directions to the closest one! 🚲🛴🏟️
- A heartwarming part of my job at CDOT is getting to see our new bike racks getting used!! 🚲🛴🎉
- Hundreds of new bike racks rolling out across Chicago the next few weeks!
- "Divvy had an interest in charging stations because it cuts down on the need for rebalancing, on the number of trips that gas-powered vehicles have to take out to the various stations and swap out batteries..." betterbikeshare.org/2025/02/18/l...
