- Reposted by D. J. HicksI think we're actually converging on modus vivendi re: AI. Most people I know IRL have a range of different but reasonable perspectives about it. All we need now is a bit more immune system to resist VC hypesters, fear clickbait ("60% of zoomers would date an AI") and drive-by social media randos.
- I think my department's particular version of this is that we have some folks who are excited about figuring out #2, and other folks who would happily banish LLMs to the void if they could. How do we give students something coherent when they're getting #1 in some classes and #2 in others?
