Curvenote
Curvenote's mission is to free science from static PDF documents to enable researchers to continuously share more interactive, reproducible, and richly-linked #openscience content. Curvenote develops authoring and publishing tools for researchers.
- Reposted by CurvenoteThe inimitable, formidable James Heaters has gifted us (some of) the contents of his brain in the form of a primer on evaluating rigor in research articles. And he published it using @curvenote.com so it's versionable and its code is executable - the only way it makes sense to publish in 2025. 👏👏👏
- Friends, I have written you a book on forensic metascience. It is free. You can have it. Happy St. Valentine's Day. If you wish to give me a gift back, you can use it to cause trouble - the greatest gift of all. open.substack.com/pub/jamescla...
- Reposted by CurvenoteI am working with @samteplitzky.bsky.social on a working group in @force11.bsky.social for: Preserving Executable Research Content If you are interested in joining or following along, learn more here: curvenote.com/blog/force11...
- Reposted by CurvenoteHey there 🦋🧪, we're a new open access microscopy journal and wanted to introduce ourselves! EM aims to modernize scientific publishing for microscopy, by prioritizing open science, transparency, and accessibility and using open-source formats and interactive notebooks 🙌 @curvenote.com @mystmd.org 🚀
- Reposted by CurvenoteThe Executable Books team and @curvenote.com are doing some of the most impressive things in the scientific publishing space at the moment. I'm so happy and thankful that Curvenote are once again partnering with @scipyconf.bsky.social to support the #SciPy2025 proceedings! :D
- Reposted by CurvenoteWant to see a quick demo of the technology that might replace citations in scientific papers? Goodbye citations, hello embeds. I was just hoping for links in scientific papers, but this is even better!
- Reposted by CurvenoteThis is obviously how scientific articles should be, and if we had an open ecosystem designed for users rather than profit, we would have had this years ago. Time to dump commercial publishers and their paywalls.
- Reposted by CurvenoteStill science in 2024: "Our figure 2 shows this result clearly. Please scroll down 30 PAGES to see it..." PS with @curvenote.com journals, inline figures can go full-width, and any reference to a figure shows it in a hover popup.
- Why do journals insist on requiring figures at the end of the file? Haven't editors reviewed enough manuscripts to realize it's much easier to check a fig. when it's near the paragraph where it is cited? Make reviewers' lives easier - you're already not paying them! #ScientificPublishing #PeerReview
- Reposted by CurvenoteWe've completed a 3-year field study on scientific poster design. But poster science doesn't really fit into an established journal. This is why I started my own journal with @Curvenote.com. Niche research, published for impact, with public peer review.
- Reposted by CurvenoteHey, I recognize that manuscript! But seriously, Curvenote and @agu.org Publishing are doing awesome work to push how we publish science into the future through fully interactive and executable manuscripts. A paradigm shift for how we communicate research to our colleagues? Time will tell!

- Reposted by CurvenoteLove seeing @curvenote.com featured for our work integrating Research Organization Registry id's (ROR). Scientific metadata initiatives like ROR, ORCiD, DOI, etc. sound dry but they're EVERYTHING for making science easier to search. @researchorgs.bsky.social
