- The last three doodles I did in this set! #intuitivedoodle #penandink 🎨
- I picked and pressed one of the bloodroot leaves because I love the shape. Just checked it and the back side of the leaf looks so cool! You can see the cells and they look like a paint-by-number. #bloodrootleaf #plantsarecool #plantcells 🌱
- Dandelions! I decided to experiment with creating some dye this week. I used alum for mordant, soaking some cotton macrame cord ahead of time. I let the cord soak in the dye for just over a day. I am pleased with how the initial color came out! #naturaldye 🧶
- Another trio of round doodles to round out Earth month. 🌎🎨
- A couple more 3x3”, round doodles. The last one, clearly fungi-inspired. 😊 #intuitivedoodling #fungi #penandink 🎨
- Quick sketch of one of the morels the we bought yesterday. I just love the shapes on these! #morelmushroom #graphitesketch #natureart
- Some recent, round doodles in honor of Earth month and Earth Day! #earthday #intuitivedoodling 🌎 🎨
- Happy Earth Day! 🌎
- Finished three pysanky this year. Not as many as I hoped, but I started late! The sunflower egg didn’t take the dye consistently, but I kind of love the gradation of blue. #pysanky #pysankyeggs #ukrainianpysanky 🎨
- Excited to have started some seeds today! The sunflowers are continuing to do well, but I also wanted to start some dye plants and see how they do. I started Japanese indigo, madder, and dyer’s chamomile. The madder root will take 2-3 years to get to a point of using it. 🌱
- The bloodroot is enjoying this sunshine today! #springephemerals #bloodroot #canadensissanguinaria 🌱
- Moving the brush pile is allowing me to see the bloodroot as it comes up this year! #springephemerals #bloodroot 🌱
- For all of my complaining about the light snow we had overnight, it melted and revealed some fun finds in the yard! #lichen #moss #gnarlybranch 🌱
- So great to see such a turnout nationwide and over the world for the Hands Off protests today! We did our part in our corner of Michigan. #handsoff
- Managed to squeeze a walk in before it rains again. The soaking is really bringing out the lichen! The whole neighborhood is green. #lichen
- The sunflowers are sprouting right up! #sunflowers #seedlings 🌱
- So many fun vendors at the Ann Arbor Fiber Expo today! Evie and I controlled ourselves and managed to get out with just a few little treats. But sooo many ideas. I want to do all the things… 😂 🎨🧶🐑🦙

- Adding to an accordion book I created a few years ago, documenting the early spring plants in my neighborhood using line drawings. Skunk cabbage and snowdrops are the most recent! Room for more, too… 1/4 🌱🎨🐡
- Sunflower seedlings are starting to sprout! We will see how far I can get these and if I can successfully plant outside later this spring/summer… 🌱
- Found some sketches from 2023, which was a year we had a number of branches down from storms. Added some shading to the star magnolia buds and branches. Fun to find! #starmagnolia #whitepine #pinecone #magnolia 🌱🎨🐡
- The sun decided to peek out a bit later in the day. Such lovely lavender to fiery pinks reflecting off of the clouds at sunset! #sunset
- It is cloudy and cold here in Michigan, but spring is finally here! #equinox
- The neighborhood is starting to bloom! Our yard is always a few days behind, so the daffodils sprouts are just coming up. Yay spring! #bloomscrolling #crocus #daffodil #spring2025 🌱
- Spring is springing! #snowdrops #springflowers 🌱

- Finished up this doodle of 2x2” squares (25 total.) I feel like I want to add something else to it, but am not sure what, if anything. So, here it is! #inkdoodle #intuitiveart 🎨
- The full, Blood Moon Eclipse was well worth getting up for. It was clear as a bell earlier this morning. My hand-held DSLR camera captures some pretty decent photos! #bloodmooneclipse2025
