- I was feeling a bit odd yesterday, but couldn't figure out why until the evening: it was the absence of soul-crushing angst-producing stress-inducing non-stop pressure. What I was feeling was a return to normalcy, and it took me a full day to recognize it. 🙄

- The square dance went well, everyone seemed happy, and many are pre-booking for our June dance. Victory, even if my feet ache.
- I'm calling a C2 workshop today. I've done this for years, but this time I'll have three callers including my original teacher present. I'm feeling some stress, like I'm walking into a final exam of some kind. Weird.

- Own your mistakes, make amends where possible. Being comfortable with discomfort is a superpower. So is patience. Before speaking, consider: Is it kind? Is it true? Is it necessary? Forgive yourself. Keep some savings, even if only a little. Single is better than a bad or mediocre relationship.
- Pope question... The new pope styles himself as Leo XIV, not Francis II, not Benedict XVII, not John Paul III, not Billy Bob I. Why Leo? I know his choice sends a message, but I'm not clear on what that is. Anyone have a think piece on why he chose Leo?
- A new pope has apparently been chosen. Since I have yet to receive a phone call, I'm suspecting my résumé didn't make the final cut. ☹️
- I found the perfect Mother's Day card for my narcissistic mother: "The way you have faith that good things will come around, that it's all going to work out, that you're going to make it through, no matter what..." We'll just leave unspoken that things work out bc my siblings & I bust our asses. 😑
