Ariel Troster
City Councillor for #SomersetWard in Ottawa. Queer Jew. A better city is possible. Let’s build it together. 🏳️🌈
- My office is hiring a part-time caseworker, 21 hrs/week, $32-$35/hr to work on traffic and transportation issues. Hybrid work environment, great team, a chance to be in the thick of municipal politics. www.arieltroster.com/hiring_may2025
- What. A. Game. Also: being able to bike with your family in less than 15 min to a PWHL playoff game? Living the urban dream.
- 60 MINUTES IS ENOUGH TONIGHT! #SurgingAhead | #OTTvMTL Ottawa Charge x Intact Insurance
- Once again, I’m begging housing developers to advocate for higher property taxes and more dedicated infrastructure funding from the Feds and the province, if they want to see a reduction in or elimination of development charges. We have to build the roads and sewers to support new growth somehow 🤷♀️
- Absolutely losing my mind over how good the CityFolk line-up is this year. Melissa Etheridge! Indigo Girls! Dropkick Murphys! The Pogues! Hooray for the Riffraff! TAKE MY MONEY.
- The Ford govt’s forced closure of the Supervised Consumption Site in Chinatown has made things worse. Public drug use happening closer to kids, unsupervised. Residents are speaking out, they want a community that’s safe for everyone. www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...
- This piece broke me
- For fans of (dearly departed) So Good on Somerset, I can confirm that the restaurant with the same name on Springfield in New Edinburgh inherited the original menu and they make the pepper salt tofu and peanut chicken just like the old place.
- My neighbour sent me this photo yesterday to let me know that my kid had landed at her house after school. Major advantage of raising a kid in a downtown neighbourhood is the freedom for them to wander and make their own social plans. Some days, Centretown really is like Sesame Street.
- Already watched this five times
- That feeling when you are hungry for dinner but you know that you are the person who needs to make dinner.
